11.1      CORRESPONDENCE

 

(a)        Ministry of Children & Youth Services, $4,000 to cover the cost of sending four staff members from the London-Middlesex Health Unit and three staff from the Early Learning and Child Development Branch MCYS to attend Parents in Parenting (PIPE) training being provided to PHS Healthy Babies Healthy Children program staff (June 17, 2011 BoH meeting correspondence item 11.1 (d))

 

Recommendation:  That the Medical Officer of Health be authorized

and directed to enter into an agreement to receive, utilize and report on funds to cover the full cost of external staff attending training for the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program staff

 

(b)        North Bay Parry Sound District Board of Health Resolution adoption of a by-law banning smoking on municipally owned properties.

 

            Recommendation:         Be received

 

(c)        Toronto Board of Health re: Reducing Artificial Trans Fat in Toronto:  Need for Action

 

            Recommendation:         Be endorsed
