11.1     Correspondence

 

                  (a)        Industrial Wind Turbines.

 

Recommendation:       Be received.

 

(b)        Public Health – Everyone’s Business, 2009 Annual Report of the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Ontario to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

 

            Recommendation:       Refer to Staff and report back.

 

(c)        One-time Funding of Sessional l Fees – 2010-2011

 

            Recommendation:       Authorize and direct the Medical Officer of Health to enter into an agreement to receive, utilize and report on the use of these funds for psychiatric sessional fees. 

 

(d)       Peterborough County-City Health Unit Energy Drinks

 

            Recommendation:       Be received

 

(e)        Letter from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care respecting one-time funding up to $2,000 at 100% for the City of Hamilton, Public Health Services to support activities related to the World Tuberculosis Day on March 24, 2011.

 

            Recommendation:       That the Medical Officer of Health be authorized and directed to receive, utilize, and report on the funds for Tuberculosis (TB) education

 

(f)        Letter from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care respecting one-time funding of up to $78,750 at (75%) for the City of Hamilton, Public Health Services for the period ending March 31, 2011 to support coaching and leadership development.

 

            Recommendation:       The Medical Officer of Health be authorized and directed to receive, utilize and report on the use of these funds for Coaching, Leadership and Team Development within Public Health Services.

 

(g)        Ministry of Health and Long Term Care respecting one time funding for the City of Hamilton, Public Health Services to support bed bug-related iniatives.

 

Recommendation: The Medical Officer of Health be authorized and directed to receive, utilize and report on the funds for bed bug initiatives.
