Correspondence from the City of Hamilton dated September 19, 2019 with respect to the Feasibility of Launching Project 529 (to reduce bike theft) in the City of Hamilton

(a) That the Public Works Committee respectfully request that Hamilton Police Services and the Hamilton Police Services Board review the feasibility of launching Project 529 in Hamilton to reduce bike theft in the City of Hamilton; and,

(b) That City Staff work in conjunction and collaboration with Hamilton Police Services and the Hamilton Police Services Board to share information in determining the feasibility of Project 529.

That the Board enter into an Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario as represented by the Solicitor General, operating as the Ontario Provincial Police, by which one Officer of the Hamilton Police Service is assigned to the OPP for the purpose of participation in the Provincial Human Trafficking Intelligence Led Joint Forces Strategy.
